Is Bodybuilding a religion?
« on: May 08, 2007, 04:55:03 AM »
"I am turning people on to my religion. I'm a bodybuilding priest in a sense."
- Tom Platz, Muscle & Fitness, July 1980

And if so, should Hedgehog move all threads to the Religious Debates & Threads?

Its a way of life. Thats why so many people don't understand it or the mechanics behind it. As for the religion board, it should be dispensed with immediately. This is a bbdg forum. If people want to pray, they can go to church.

I'd say so, thought some turn into Bible bashers like Menzter.

You are more retarded than I initially though ::)

Bodybuilding is not a religion: A religion is a set of beliefs and practices generally held by a community, involving adherence to codified beliefs and rituals and study of ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction.

Bodybuilding is a lifestyle and just in case you try to explain your dumb ass out if this by twisting the truth and arguing that yes but we are doing exactly what a Religion is doing we don't pray but curl instead and we meet once a year to worship the musclegood at the O... please feel free to go fuck yourself...

With friendly regards

I've never claimed bodybuilding is a religion, I was as you can clearly see, quoting the legend Tom Platz, so basically you're telling HIM to go fuck himself.

Nicely done.  ::)

Nice attempt to switch subject, but the facts remains - your lengthy post and attack at me, was an attack at legend Tom Platz.

You walked into a trap, tried to play smart, and just showed that you're as dumb as they've come.

Thanks for the laugh!  ;D

ehh? You were talking about me? Oh okay I can play that... you are still full of shit :D

Fake Edit: Yep I agree that I missed originally that you were quoting Tom Platz,
shows you that people including myself don't even bother reading your threads (may they be as small as they usually are) simply for the fact that they are utter bullshit and a waste of time.

Good day ;D

It's called off-season mode, something me, Lee Priest and other professionals of the sport share. When you attack one of us, you attack us all.
