In a can: Chicken V.S. tuna

Everything is identical nutrition wise other than tuna has 250 mg sodium and the canned chicken only has 180mg.   Why does everyone eat tuna instead of canned chicken?  The chicken tastes so much better and is the same price.

Am I missing something here?

price.  They are not the same where I shop.  I can get 10 cans of tuna for $6.  Chicken is considerably more expensive.

tuna is $.50 a can where i shop and the costco chicken can is like $2.50. I can care less about the sodium content. Something about that damn nasty tuna that makes me get shredded. and 30g protein for fifty cents is a bargin. Its just so darn grosss!!!

all the canned chicked i've seen at the grocery store has close to 15g of fat per serving. that's the reason i go with tuna.

you sure    That's like pure fat!

Swanson is the brand I see most often.  Def. more $$$ than tuna and less protein per can, but if you can get it on sale, it's a nice change of pace.

I get store brand chicken, Albertson's.  30g 0 fat 150 mg sodium, and $.10 more than tuna.

We don't over here. Funny my wife asked the same thing when I had upwards of 150 cans in the pantry (I also give it to my cats as a treat sometimes).

Hm, I have never seen a can of chicken the same price as a can of tuna.... I wish I could find those prices though
