God, that movie is fucking awful.

The only good thing is the hot chick playing Faora.

She steals the movie.

Besides, there is only one Superman.

Desolate ain't lying.

almost all these movies have the same story , and have so much cgi they look like videogames with actors in them over the fake backgrounds , all of these movies are going to age badly . . .

Reeve remains the best Superman.  I suppose they could Brandon Routh  another shot at it as his portrayal in Superman Returns was something  of an homage to Reeve.  They are similar in height but Reeve was just the epitome of both Clark and Kal.

But yes, I am tiring of this genre with one reason being they seem to be moving to Social JustUs Warrior side.   In the Justice League film opening they showed evil whitey "picking on" poor muslime convenience store owners.  FTN.

In the Fleischer Brothers Superman cartoons,  the Man of Steel fought Nazis.  Now of course, he can't harm muslimes, unless they threaten Lois.

Speaking of babes in comics, ever notice the alliteration of many of their names?  Lois Lane.  Lana Lang.  Pepper Pots.  Sue Storm.   I'm nerding out here.

I used to bet on racehorses with alliterated names, you would be surprised how often they win...

I agree with your basic premise , but I'm older now ,so I won't crack on the younger crowd
I used to watch pro wrasslin' and play pin ball machines ( pre video game stuff).
As I grew older, I lost interest.

To me, it's perfectly fine to see a teen or 20's guy into a new super hero movie or playing video games.

AS LONG AS IT'S A MASCULINE SUPERHEROMOVIE WITH THE RIGHT VALUES AND NOT PROMOTING A PERVERTED AGENDA!

You can still shape and mold teens/20s guys since they are not 100 % complete mentally.

I've loved seeing all the stories I used to read as a kid being brought to life in more detail than I ever could have imagined.

But yeah - I think I've hit a wall with them. Have missed a few, not interested in the latest Star Wars one either, and all the girl power shit in the last Avengers film just annoyed me.

Depends?
1. Watching a new Batman movie and going home to bang your wife or gf= GOOD!
2. Watching the new Batman movie then going home to jerk off to Michelle Pfeiffer in her Catwoman outfit= not that BAD.

The only one I'll watch is the sequel to Joker and probably the new Batman film.

Joker is not a superhero film.

Joker is a 2019 American psychological thriller film directed by Todd Phillips, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver. ... The film, which acts as an origin story for the Joker, is set in 1981 and follows Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City.

Birds Of Prey (Harley Quinn) Feb 07, 2020 Love Margo Robbie. FLOP.

Wonder Woman 1984 Jun 05, 2020 Weird teaser. TOSS-UP leaning more to SUCCESS.

The Batman Jun 25, 2021 Fag from Twilight is Batman. Laughable. FLOP.

The Suicide Squad Aug 06, 2021 Love Margo Robbie. First one was awful. Second will most likely be the same. FLOP.

DC Super Pets May 20, 2022 FLOP.

Black Adam Dec 22, 2021 FLOP.

Aquaman 2 Dec 16, 2022 SUCCESS.

The Flash Jul 01, 2022 FLOP.

Shazam 2 Apr 01, 2022 One was enough. FLOP.

And....Is Hollywood searching for a new actor to portray Superman?

Cavill desperately wants to be the next Bond. He has been lobbying hard for it.

Birds of Prey was director Cathy Yan’s first feature, and was supposed to be Margot’s breakout film.
I know folks in the stunt industry who said that Yan sucks and treated stuntmen on set like shit.
Another director was brought in to reshoot key action scenes.

I know. I have watched it, excellent film.

It takes place in the DC universe, so I included it.

Joker is not a superhero film.

Joker is a 2019 American psychological thriller film directed by Todd Phillips, who stole the entire idea from Taxi Driver and King of Comedy ... I’m amazed that anybody still goes to movie theaters:

Thin Liz, I give motion picture theaters five more years of life. After that they'll close the doors.

But that should prove to have little effect on the making of major motion pictures because the studios will continue to meet the public's demand for entertainment .... but this time it will be entertainment within your own abode on 20 foot wide 8K screens and sound tracks that will knock your socks off.

Then will come In Home Virtual Reality which will ehncourage you to interreact/participate with your favorite stars in  ways that are not even comprehended at present.

Instead of watching Ironman, or Spiderman, or Superman .... you can become one of them (or even each of them) and save the world from massive destruction.

Or wine and dine Wonder Woman and see  what follows after dinner.
