Not saying its not possible that they're roiding...but in Japan, sumo is more than just a sport...it's has religious aspects.  Their training is extremely private and secret and it takes years to get to a competetion level.  They also tie in behavior, honor and social status to these athletes.  I believe that the sumo code of conduct would be heavily against using performance enhancing drugs other than clean eating and herbal supplements.
Sumo has like a 1000 year old history.

but steroids have a much different view in japan than in the US.

Pride fighting championships never tested their fighters.

There may very well be a few individuals who take steroids, but of the really good wrestlers it is technique and balance that take them to the highest level, and strength of course. The exceptions were americans Akebono and Musashimaru, who mainly relied on bulk, but were able to use that extremely effectively having almost all their wins by oshidashi and yorikiri.

By the way, this is the next "big" thing in sumo, a 22 year old 380lbs former judo champion. He will be the first european yokozuna. Remember I called it;)

monster 50% bodyfat

Even if that is the case, if they dieted down to 5%BF they would still out weigh you by 100lbs, little shrimp!
