Sure, but how does an individual who doesnt have it, get a pro card in the 1st place?

Aside from blowing the judging panel, that is.

Was there a weak line-up, of bbing gene-deprived competitors that year?
I competed at the nationals that year. I must say Kamali looked awesome. The competition was pretty stiff.  He just ruined his physique trying to play the size game.
Here are a couple of pics as well as the heavyweight line up.
HeavyWeight
1   Shari Kamali (King)

2   Bob Cicherillo

3   Doug Jabalee

4   David Hughes

5   Chuck Sanow

6   Arthur Fickling (2)

7   Douglas Wentz

8   Anthony Dodd

9   Joseph Carlton Jr

10   Allen Fortney

11   Lamar Goodwin

12   David Watson

I remember he had an entourage of people in the audience wearing his King Kamali Terminator t-shirts. His posing routine rocked the house. The crowd went nuts.

How do you ruin your physique playing the size game only to get smaller?
