Always thought that was the most horrible picture of Katz that was ever published. What that photo does not show, is the acne ridden body of him, that is evident in the PI book.
No shoulders, weak chest (obviously it's the photo, as Katz had an enormous chest- poor lighting and/or angle I'm sure), and the dazed & confused look doesn't help much either.

Looks like Frankenstein. Looks about 80 now, and is a pompous windbag.

Too bad they spent time on him in PI instead of interviewing and showing training of Nubret, Robinson, Padilla, etc.
