Yes, I just read this article. I can't believe anyone would be surprised by it. Iraq has been one giant clusterfukk and it has only gotten worse. We're even at the point where military members are speaking out against it.

I wonder if we'll get to read any posts defending this war. If nothing else they would be entertaining.

If you really think about it what's the worst that can happen if we allow them to fight it out for themselves? The Boston Globe ran a story today that they are calling for all civilians to be armed in Iraq. That's one step closer to them fighting it out for themselves and deciding their own fate.

Wow, and the silence continues.......

Is there any doubt that this whole thing has become a complete failure?  (well except for the amusement park and ice cream stand)

I think we may actually be seeing some success. Its absolutley true that we only maxed out forces within the last 45 days. Its taken almost 6 months for elements in place to begin and complete shaping operations that allowed us to launch the recent operations. They have resulted in killing alot of terrorists. I think we are fighting two wars. Its becoming increasingly clear by the stuff I hear and read..much of which u guys just don't have access to. That the local populace is sick of the foreign terrorist and are actively helping us. However they are also content to continue to butcher each other in this civil war. Based on that, I would pull troops to certain defended locations which allow us conduct missions like we are. The problem being is that once we pull out..there are no Iraqi backfills to continue to keep the peace. Within the last month, some have stepped up. If places like Anbar can hold...the locals will and are joining up to maintain the peace. Battles and wars can tunr on pivitol events. LT Gen. Petreus reports in Sept. The dems need to shut the hell up until then. Pelosis and her bunch of idiots need to give it time...two months. Every time she opens her month she undermines US operations. If the report says we're failing they we draw down.

That's good news.   I guess we need to get the people of Iraq more tired of foreign fighters than their own infighting?   ;D

Well like I posted before.....where about 3-4 on list of folks they really wanna kill. I guess the logic is, if we're not there we won't get killed..............BUT if we're not there..we can't kill them.
