He was basically the Arnold Schwartznegger for the WNBF.

No surprise that he took second to Chris Faildo. If he wasn't there then Dave would have taken the whole thing.

This guy guest posed at the second show of my first year competing. He's been around a long time. I believe at that time(1995), he was a 2 or 3 time Natural World Champion. Faildo was just to thick for him at the TU. Dave was in better condition though. Shredded as ever.

Dave's been around for quite a long time. He's had the time to build his physique naturally. Its totally possible. The longer you have to sculpt and refine your body, the better its going to look. I think that at age 48 you should have a little muscle maturity.

As we grow older all of our body functions start to decline including test production, but exercise and nutrition can greatly slow down that decline. This guy has been living the bodybuilding lifestyle religiously for at least 20 years, and probably has amazing genetics as well. He only competes at about 165 lbs. He was a welterweight at the TU. Why is it so difficult to believe he could be natural?

Dave is clean, always was & always will be. That's the way he competes. We're trying to talk him into the Masters Nationals, perhaps waiting till he can qualify for the '50s class. It offers an IFBB pro card. He was a pro in the WNBF till the idiotic Steve Downs banned him. Without Dave in it, there's no reason at all to look at Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness mag. Fortunately he's a regular in Iron Man now.

Dave was in the toughest class at the Team U & was pleased to have come in 2nd to the overall winner.
