Is is working for you? If so then why change it?

BTW - the only thing I would change if this were my diet would be some of the foods but then again that's because our personal tastes are different.

I would replace the tuna for salmon. That's both because of my personal taste & for healthy fats.

I would also replace the oatmeal with this eight grain hot cereal (I can't remember the name at the moment - if you want it I'll shoot you a PM later with the name/brand). I usually have one packet of instant oatmeal with one serving of the above cereal. I also throw in a little real maple syrup for flavoring.

I would also forget the egg whites & use four whole eggs instead (perferably organic/cage-free eggs - they're higher in omega three's).

Do you plan on eating this for 12 weeks straight?  You need to continuously adjust your diet.  If you start feeling flat and weak during your workouts then throw in a high carb day.  I mean eat the hell out rice and potatoes.  Also as you lean up, your body will require les calories so you will need to lower your total calorie intake.

I can of tuna has all of the protein you need in a meal.  I would split breakfast into two meals.  Have the tuna or eggs with oatmeal and then a little later have the other protein.

What is in your protien shake?  Adding a can of tuna after is not a good idea.  Again right after your workout have about 20-40 grams of a simple carb like rice cakes or 1 banana with your shake.  About 30 minutes later pound down that tuna.  No need to have tuna and a protein shake at the same time.

Also lettuce is a crappy source of fiber.  You need to eat broccoli or cauliflower with some of those protein meals.  It will aid in digestion and help you in the crapper.

Before you do your cardio in the AM is a good time to take in some BCAAs,Aminos or a 20 gram protein shake.  I actually love the IDS whey liquid protein 25 grams. Just slam it down with some lip 6 about 20 minutes before cardio and you are in a nice anobolic state before you hit the cardio.

You may also need to double your vitamin intake and add some vitamin C.  Vitamins are meant to supplement your daily intake but since you are not eating any fruits and barely any veggies you are taking in very little if any vitamins.  Split up your dose to early in the day and later in the evening to keep yourself going.  Also supplement with extra Vitamin E.  Take it with your fishies.

Drink a lot of water with that protein and give your kidneys and liver a break.

Romain is good, I think you could benefit by mixing it up and having different Green everyday though.

yes, mixed nuts are great for dieting.  Maybe increase your carbs a bit more, say up to 150 per day...get in a little cardio....and a high carb day...

also, on these lower carb days, eat plenty of veggies as your fiber needs will be at their greatest.  (you won't crap w/o them)

fuck that...150 grams??!! my metabolism is way too slow for that shit. that would be an average amount of carbs for a bulking diet for me.

so everyone is saying to ADD things to the diet...that means that you guys think i am probably losing fat at the expense of a little bit of muscle with tis current diet?

Trust me when i tell you that cutting carbs down as low as you have them will KILL whatever metabolism you have, slow or not.  You need more carbs in your diet to actually burn the fat.  Like i said, increase them a bit (while hopping on the tread for 25 mins a day at a brisk walk pace) and continue to pump hard.

Rule--dropping carbs will slow your metabolism.

ALso, where is the FAT in your diet:??????   Include some nuts or fatty fish or at least an avocado here and there.

Fiber with every meal when cutting- in addition, green beans (a Jay Cutler favorite) and brussle sprouts.

Candi, if you are the 'guy' i think you are, then you've made fantastic improvements.

breakfast]  3 weetabix plus soya milk plus a scoop of protein

meal 2]  two chicken breasts, lettuce, spring onions, tomato, calorie reduced colesaw [and a shit load of mustard]

meal 3]  tuna sandwich

meal 4] ommlette plus salad / fresh salmon plus salad / steak plus salad / homemade kebab plus salad

I started eating like this about a month ago, and i've dropped alot of fat. Probably some muscle to, but i don't care. I used to eat up to 3 and a half thousand calories everday, and although i was big, i was also a fat bastard. Also i am never using gear again [haven't for years now], so there is simply no need to stuff myself. Every now and again i have a treat, like danish pastries, ice cream, white chocolate etc - but i actually really like eating healthily with quite low calories.

Personally i think you're dong far to much cardio - 90 minutes a day! Where do you find the time? I do 45 mins four times a week - 30 minutes of very intense bag work, then 15 mins on the stepper. Seems to work for me. [first thing in the morning on an empty stomach]

Good luck, don't slip up now!

Dont get to complicated.  Just make sure you keep track of your total daily amount of what you want.

i.e. grams of protein and carbs and fat per day.

I dont know how realistically some of you eat 4 chicken breasts a day.  That is one expensive diet.  Most of my protein comes from canned tuna or canned chicken.   ITs not exciting but i can't afford to eat 4 friggin chicken breast ED.
