Powell set a new 100 m record: 9.74 s.

Seems like the record is on the move again.  For a long time it was stuck at 9.84, even though Ben Yonson had run a 9.83.

what's going on? faster tracks, better training?

Impressive I know but I reckon he could have gone under 9.70 if he'd made an all-out effort.
