On Monday, September 4th, at Venice Beach Muscle Beach in sunny Southern California, the actual plaques were unvieled right where the outside gym is located. A number of the competitors were there, including John Bailik, Bill Grant, Gene Mozee, Albert Beckles and others...

It was a pretty nice thing to see and honour...

These were the Hall of Fame inductees. Not sure how they were decided, but it has to do with something that you had to be working out at Muscle Beach or so, I would think.

If the plaque shown is any indication (from the year 2005), I'm sure Arnold was inducted in the past. I would hope so anyway...that's not an oversight in the least.....

It is complete bullshit that Arnold isn't on there. He is the main reason many guys including myself started bodybuilding. He is one of the only people who still claim bodybuilding is improving (check out his interview with Chick a year or so ago).

Furthermore, he is arguably the best and most well known ambassador of any sporting activity on the planet. He brought bodybuilding to the masses and I would bet that had he not been involved, the sport would not be nearly as popular as it is now.

Yes, hopefully, for next year, Arnold will be there, which will be a huge spectacle. Last time he came to Muscle Beach to honor Joe Weider, it was crazy, with mainstream media all over the place, and cops galour. With Jack LaLanne getting honoured, there still were a number of television stations covering it, including the mainstream Daily News and more.

Funny thing, one Muscle Beach show, Arnold rode on his bike to the show, and no one even noticed him.

hahah yea that is tacky....typical of our yuppie selfish generation to pretend to do something old school and respectful, but really just use it for their own advertisement to make more money....

They could have put a smaller plaque somewhere off to the side sayin that the plaques were donated by bodbuiliding .com, but to put it on everyone shows that they are just in it for the money...What else is new? This industry is filled with selfish boobs.
