Did Owen Wilson succeed in killing his career?
« on: September 03, 2007, 09:42:27 PM »
he's mostly in comedies.  and people go to comedies to have fun, not to think, "there's the guy that tried to kill himself . . ."

No, an abnormally high amount of comics are/have been manic depressives and people still laughed at them after similar incidences.

manic depressives usually get a rep for being hard partiers . . . and stay out of the media eye when they're down for the most part.  Wilson's got his broadcast all over. I can't think of a parallel case really.
