Roger Federer or Stefan Everts are the most dominant athletes since Michael Jordan.

In football, best in the world right now is Ronaldihno.

There's still no Zidane of this generation I gather, ie a player who is slightly ahead of everyone else.

A few have the potential: Kaka being one of them, Ronaldo as well.

Exactly... Roger Federer's dominance is magnitudes higher than that of Ronaldo. Any decent team can defend in a way to play Ronaldo out of the game. No man comes close to doing that with Federer.

I too give the nod to either Ronaldihno or Kaka. Both somewhat humble too, especially in Kaka's case, which is what I like to see in a player.

Can never see Ronaldo growing into a Zidane like character, way too cocky. Kaka, now I can see that.

After looking at those videos, it seems Ronaldihnos tricks are functional, Ronaldos just seem to be for entertainment and the hopes of a free kick.

Well, Ronaldo is only 22 years of age...He's Got a lot of time to mature and become a better player...It seems people will not give him credit for being a great player..I suppose you either love him or hate him. ronaldo Had a great season, scoring 20+ Goals, and having 20+ assists from his winger position...Which is very good..He Just Has The Desire To become the very Best, and plays with passion...


Well, Real Madrid had 133$ Million (USD) on the table...A very high price to acquire ronaldo's rights..

Who hasn't give him credited for being a great player?

I didn't say he was anything but exceptional. I just believe there's 3 or 4 players out there who consistently perform better.

To be in that percentile is fucking unreal.

Thierry Henry is the best player in the world, great all round game, assists, great goals. Ronaldo does nothing in big games,  and that's because good teams with quality defenders can easily mark him out of the game.

I have to mention Cesc Fabregas. I've seen some of his matches as of late, and he's been carrying his team (Arsenal) to victories, despite being only 20 years old.

He's got a long way to go, but he's much more a team player, a creator, than C. Ronaldo ever will be, he's more of a Kaka type of guy. In short: Fabregas may have more potential than any other 20-something right now.

Ronaldinho is awesome, but had some conditioning issues last season, he was plain out of shape, saw some pics, compared his former six pack to a very Gazza like (;D) midsection. Dunno where his right now as far as fitness level. But that seems to have been his problem last season, the reason he lost his edge.

I spoke to a guy who is from Barcelona.

He said that Ronaldinho, Eto'o and several other players are going clubbing all the time in Barca.

Who won the world cup?

France were carried by Zidane all the way. Henry was a nobody that tournament. Ribery was decent however.

Brazil weren't a functional team. Individually a lot of big names, but it's the same old story with modern day Brazil, no merging as a team. The shine during weak world cups like 2002.

Pele and Maradona were the best players of the world at one point,  way ahead of everybody else . Ronaldinho,C Ronaldo ,Henry ,Eto ,Messi ,Kaka ...... etc , are brilliants players ,with lots of skills ,but you can't  honestly say wich one is better.
