How would I prevent acne?
« on: September 10, 2007, 06:27:08 PM »
In about two weeks I will start my first cycle.  Everything is in place.  The one thing I am not sure about is what can one do to prevent acne.  I might be susceptible to it.  I read a post a while back on this topic here but can't find it.

exactly. i never even get it much except a few bumps on my back. i think this acne thing is blown out of proportion. the guys I see who I believe are prone to acne are the big burly pale endomorph types that are holding alot of fat and look like they shower maybe twice per week... people who stay clean and drink a shit ton of water can typically minimize the problem IMO

It's caused by a reaction in your body to androgens.

Some get it, some don't. physical body type and the amount of water you drink will not make any difference. you must understand WHY it happens before you can throw out general statements that are untrue.

Would it depend on the amount of juice?  Say, 500 mg/week as opposed to 1,000.  Do esters make a difference (Prop as opposed to E)?

Dose can matter, and so can ester. I CANT use TC for taht reason. My Back looks like hit with buck-shot fromTC!
TE & SUS dont do it to near the degree.

Shower soon after ya bench. Hot water and Clearasil soap scrub on back. Your grinding in sweat and bacteria into the skin while ya bench.

I've used 'em all, and I just don't get acne with gear.  I am a clean freak (clean freakfest?), though, and I get out of sweaty clothes immediately after my workout and take at least 2 showers per day.  I'll even change my shirt during a workout if it's a long one and I've really been hitting it hard.

i do the same thing and I've had acne during every cycle i have ever ran. i change my shirt the second i'm done working out.

the odd thing is i never had acne as a teen, only a pimple here and there.

I've tried every cream, soap, bodywash and med there is from a Derm. Accutane knocked it down about 75% but it has never gone away until a month after PCT. once i'm off for a bit my skin is clear.

i just deal with it and tan regularly on cycle so you can barely see it.

First off do some research there's probably a dozen threads about this...

Anyway, who knows you might not get any.

If you do: Shower regularly, tan, & maybe look for a good dermatologist.

If you are really that concerned, get a DHT (Dihydrotestoreone) blocker or more scientifically called a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor; a natural and well affordable one would be Saw Palmetto, which would also protect your prostate as well...and the more phramaceutical ones such as Dutasteride, more potent with attendant side effects...

Remember this business of changing your shirt and such will help minimally if at all; ultimately it is about how you genetically react to the steroid.

it all has to do with genetics too. when im on i have a small amount of ance on back and arms. but during pct or when i take certain things like nolva or cabergoline the acne just gets nuts. all down backs of my arms, my back, back of my neck. luckily not on my face. and these are not your normal pimples but the huge deep unders skin ones that hurt. this is with changing shirts, lava bars, washing sheets, all kinds of acne medicine. its just in my gense. when i was young i had lots of acne. its just how my hormones respond to it. tannin does help hide it

HCG & Or Clomid can be top offenders. Try to figure exactly what one is doing it. One product at a time.

Some of these sound like possibly ingrown Hairs (Circling around, or Double & Trippled up hairs).
I get these, popping them and fishing out the hair w/ a tweezers is necessary or they just fester.
I get some them on neck, and throat area. Shaving over those is the WORST thing for them, I shave around them till they can be pulled.

Get your girlfriend to pop all the blackheads on your back, you'll get barely any acne. And wash with dish detergent..thats what i do..alwasy done that, the "antibacterial dish and hand soap", works wonders...

Hey I got this from another board and it sounds a little weird, but........Dawn dishwashing soap.

Yes, that's right. Dawn dishwashing soap. I put like a small drop on my finger and rub the affected areas until it forms a white paste almost. When I started this TE cycle a few weeks ago I had those red hurtful zits on the shoulders and back. Did the trick. It will dry your skin out, so use it sparingly.

You can also do that with rubbing alcohol.

It depends on what kind of acne you have.
