A week or so ago a thread was started on this forum called "Because I can..." by the inimitable Ed Corney. There were those that doubted that it was really him...
LMAO--whoever set up this gimmick acct. is laughing their ass off right now. I think I'll set up a Franco acct and watch everyone kiss my asshole!
As the doubters were doubting I decided to PM Ed. I got a very quick and lovely response from him directly to my personal email from the account that is listed on his official website.
http://www.edcorney.net/We talked a bit and I offered to send him Raising the Bar 2, my latest documentary about this crazy sport. In return he sent me his latest DVD, a posing primer called "Ed Corney, The Master Poser". I just received it today. It was even autographed by him...very nice!
Ed's DVD is a solid, straightforward exhibit of several of his classic routines, never before seen, including a friendly posedown with Tom Platz in his prime and a comprehensive slideshow of his career, all set to some very nice and varied music.
There is no one who poses like Ed! Each pose is like a classic Greek sculpture with beautiful fluid transitions between each. There is not a moment of "down time" in an Ed Corney posing routine. A Corney routine has aspects of ballet and fine art and is mesmerizing to watch. In addition, Ed's physique has always been one of the most asthetically pleasing IMHO.
The art of posing is often overlooked these days. Young BBs could learn a lot from watching this DVD. Thanks Ed.
