MMA FIGHTER ADAM SMITH POSITIVE FOR COCAINE AND MARIJUANA

Adam Smith, who faced Dewey Cooper at the Strikeforce at the Mansion event in Beverly Hills, Calif. this past Saturday night, has been fined and suspended for testing positive for cocaine and marijuana according to Bill Douglas, a representative of the California State Athletic Commission.

He has been fined a total $1,500 and his suspension period runs from the conclusion of the bout on Sept. 29, 2007 through June 25, 2008.

The loss at the Playboy Mansion was not only the second consecutive loss for Smith, but also the second straight loss at the hands of Cooper. The two first met at the Palace Fighting Championship this past July in Lemoore, Calif.

Is it me or is the CSAC finding an abnormal amount of people with some sort of drugs in their systems?

Most of the other state athletic commissions do random drug tests of fighters on the card ,and both fighters in champoinship fights, CSAC tests everybody.

so in other words it still doesnt stand to reason (in that shallow little mind of yours) that a commision that test everyone is gonna turn up more dirtys than a commission that only does randoms ?
