Choke.....wonderful. Bill knows when to dump players when they've reached their limit..maybe he knew something about Viniteiri. He can't hit past the 40 anyway. Oh and poor Peyton..no weapons on offense and he chokes..i feel so bad. Brady had hacks and made it to withing a dropped 3rd down play, of another SB.

I agree, Al Michaels was having an orgasm talking about how Manning didn't have Marvin and Dallas Clark and a banged up O-line, Brady was throwing to Doug Gabriel and Reche Caldwell last year. On a side note i will always like Adam for winning 3 titles but i was soo glad he missed that fg.

I have always heard that Manning was better then Brady would ever be

Up until Manning won his sb the consensus among most "experts" was that Brady was the better qb. That notion was scoffed at considering Manning's record numbers by people who know little about the game. The facts are that manning plays in a dome , and has been throwing to hof receivers since he started playing. he has always had top line, top weapons and the same offensive guru calling the shots. Up until this point there has been little "adversity" for manning to deal with.

On the flipside Brady was a HOF player throwing to scrubs. Lets be honest here. Manning had superior offensive weapons at every offensive position. His stats where also pumped due to the fact they had no d a lot of the years , and he had to throw constantly to outscore people. In the playoffs Manning cannot touch Brady. The numbers speak for themselves.

Brady had guys like Antwone Smith running the ball. Manning had a hof back in edge. The receiver debate is laughable considering Brady has never had a 1000 yard receiver up until this year. Brady's number one receiver last year was Reche Caldwell. A guy who cannot crack the starting team on the washington redskins these days. Brady went all the way to the afc championship game and almost won it. He elevated the play of Caldwell and Gaffney. Check the numbers.

Fast forward to this year. Manning is facing some adversity. Although he still has Wayne , he is forced to throw to guys who are not stars. This is not the first game Manning has looked average. Brady finally gets high talent receivers and he has 33 td's to 4 ints on the year through nine games. He does not play in a dome. Those numbers are plain old monstrous. Now add in the fact he has only been playing with his new weapons for nine games. Not years like Manning.

You might think the pats are throwing the ball more? They are not. The pats rushing attack is one spot lower then the colts. The ratio of pass to run plays is almost 50 - 50. You may also think the pats line has something to do with Brady playing lightyears above Manning. While the line is very very good , it has given up more sacks then Indy's line on the year. Manning is getting better protection.

Manning is a hof qb. He is overrated though. When it comes down to crunch time , when you are not 100 percent healthy or you cannot throw to guys who you have been playing with all year, the goats get it done. Brady has done this for his entire career. Manning needs to be held to the same standard.

In all fairness, Manning didn't have the defense that Brady had to bail him out during those Super Bowl runs.

I'd take either one on my team if you asked me. Both great qb's and good character guys.

Cartel I see what you are saying. But We are talking about offensive numbers put up by a qb. This point actually makes my argument. Manning was throwing the ball  a lot more then anyone else to outscore people. Which added to his monster numbers over the years. The colts did have good defenses a few of those years also. While you make a good point the pats had the superior d , they had the inferior O which imo is just as big of a deal. Dungy is a defensive coach. I would think he could scheme a bit. Its not like the colts had some tard calling the shots. Dungy put together a great d in tampa. Christ he is one of the innovators of the Tampa 2 scheme.

What about Manning's defense this year? The colts have a top 5 defense in all categories. Manning has a great defense this year. It ain't injury's. Look at this injury breakdown from patriots history.

The pats had 42 different starters in 2003, 40 different starters in 2004 (9 in the secondary), 45 different starters in 2005 and 39 different starters in 2006. They broke the NFL "record" for different starters for a division champion due to injury with 42 in 2003; then again with 45 in 2005. There was a stretch of games in 2003 where they had 9-10 starters out with 10 being the max for one game. The pats won superbowls in these years. many of the top players on the pats d where injured when they won in the playoffs and various sb's. No one talk about this fact when they speak of the pats d during there sb runs.

I think Manning is a hof player. I just get sick of people making all kinds of excuses for the colts and Manning. The pundits go to no end to make up excuses for any failures the colts may have.

Btw if the pats did not have Brady I would take Manning in a heartbeat. Im just over this media love fest with the Manning's. People makes excuses for him big time.

Adam is clutch. No idea why he missed those kicks over the last few games. Honestly I would not want anyone else kicking the ball when it mattered most.

Oh thought you might think this was funny.

One million touchdowns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny part is how the media backed off the  "running it up" garbage once everyone else in the NFL did the same thing. Agenda driven hacks.

There are just as many if not more colts ballwashers as you see for NE. Infact the colts get excuses made for there horrendous play at times. I didn't see anyone raving about the pats injuries after last years afccg. No one even mentioned it. Nor was anyone raving about how the pats sb teams where some of the most injury crippled championship teams ever. The colts lose and everyone is quick to talk about how they have injuries. Well duh, Polian has all his cash tied up in 4 players. No shit if people start getting hurt they are screwed. This is the NFL you need depth. No one calls out Polian though. People blame the special team coach for the colts st problems. Hmm might have to do with the fact the colts cannot afford good depth players because they gave all there cash to 4 guys.

The pats started the season minus Ben Watson , Richard Seymour , Rodney Harrison, Maroney, Stephen Neal, Dave Thomas and Mike Wright. NO one said anything about that. fact is the pats had the depth to survive through adversity.

I have seen a bunch of articles saying how much heart Manning has because he only played with one pro bowl receivers vs a horrible san d secondary. Not only that he threw six picks to boot. The week after he gave up an int when he had a chance to get the colts back in it.

Brady was winning sb's with sub par receivers for years. Hilarious how many excuses people make for Manning.
