jorma raty rip 1946 -2007

jorma raty has just died, he is the 11 th. man to compete in the mr olympia contest to die everyone under 61 so far.

Unreal back for his day... and to be honest, no European BBer was ever taken seriously by the IFBB in the 70/80's,,,,, unless the moved to the US and trained and could be in Weiders mags.

Agreed; guys like him were too far out of the loop, no hope of good placings without Weider magazine exposure. I remember him and other BBs from back in the day and realizing that.

That's on top of the fact that Weider's guys always benefitted in the placings. Of course he was gonna place after the Weider guys.

That may be true in some cases...but Jorma was never really conditioned very well
