Very true. I don't do a ton of detailed cooking that requires a lot of measuring though (most of the time I just wing it). I used to run a kitchen years ago in college so I got good at estimating & such. Another problem is that I'm so OCD that if I start measuring a few things I'll have to measure everything I'm cooking & that would make me crazy.

On the topic at hand, if you're dieting, I mean really dieting, not measuring your food is a big mistake.
If you're bulking and tend to need to be carefull about adding on extra bf, not measuring your food is a bad idea.
If you're not dieting, if you're a hardgainer, or just someone who has a crazy fast metabolism, then sure, who cares, eat up. Most people though do not fall into this category...many think they do but they are usually wrong.
