I work nights and want to lean out specifically my waist. My question is would it be ok to have my shake before training(musclemilk plus cytocarb) and after training my cell tech and 15 minutes later my isopure with cytocarb, but every meal up until bed eat steamed broccoli in place of carbs? I ask this because I have read its good to have carbs up to six hours pwo and as a powerlifter I want to make sure I am taking in enough carbs to restore glycogen levels for recovery etc. I barely break a sweat on my job and feel like I am just storing those carbs as fat plus I will be starting cardio eod(low impact).

First thing I would do would be get off the muscle milk.

Also as a powerlifter your carb requirements are going to be higher then someone who wants to lean out-are you planning on competing soon or you just want to diet down?

Not planning on competing anytime soon just my training is primarily structured around getting as strong as possible in all the compound movements. I am thinking then dropping the musclemilk and continuing to eat brown rice with each meal up to 6 hours pwo. Then replace all carbs in meals after that with veggies. Would that be alright and maybe start working out earlier in the evening might help?

If you're trying to lose weight muscle milk is the last thing you should be drinking.

Like everyone else has said i would cut out the muscle milk.

Before u train, if your trying to lose weight, dont eat anything. Just have your meals as normal, ur already getting a steady flow of aminos into your system, so u dont need that extra shake.

Just drink your carbs and whey iso post workout.

And with the veggies thats good, just do protein and veggies, some lean protein for most meals and one fatty protein like steak or salmon.
