I dont hate your opinion at all, its just my experience that when you go issue by issue by what RP actually stands for, most libs cringe.
but the mistake you are making is assuming all liberals are the same. That's not even remotely close to the truth and I can tell you that after spending a long time involved with them. The right generally has much more unity to it than the left. The left is made up of a lot more factions.
On the right if I said, "Everyone believing in lower taxes, smaller government, anti abortion, 2nd Amendment, anti gay rights, states rights and the strongest military in the world, STAND OVER HERE:" Probably 95% or more of a room of republicans would stand with that.
If you started listing off a bunch of shit for the left, the more you list the more you're going to see the parting. I'm telling you, they are much more factionalized than the right.
You're seeing a type of liberal at places like DU because that's the type
they collect via banning who they don't like. I was a victim of that too, lol, not that I cared...
There's actually a lot of progressive types that agree more with Paul than Obama bigtime... Yes there are things they don't like about what he says, but there is a growing crowd of them that are fully willing to ignore those things because Paul would bring to the table a lot that they do like while the things they don't like look like they would be way harder to pull off anyway.
