Why Jay won the last Olympia

 It was not some dark, back room conspiracy. I was a simple case of a very close Olympia with the champ being given the nod. If you look at the actual Mr Olympia championship physique, it becomes OBVIOUS why guys like Ronnie, Dorian and Jay bring home the sandow over the past 2 decades.
The actual Mr Olympia standard is a massive bodybuilder; wide as a barn door;a wide, freaky ,thick back and flared quads.
Perfect symmetry , a wasp waist and ideal , perfect shape has NOT ruled the Olympia stage in decades!
Based on these current olympia standards both Jay and Victor stand out from the pack. Wolf had the tools from the front but his back lacked overall thickness and depth compared to Jay and Victor.
Jay was a few % better than Victor in the finals, so he pulled it out and retained the title.
Dexter had the best overall classic and ripped physique, but that type has not been the Mr O standard for years.

In 2 years, he could beat everyone based on the current Olympia standards. His frame and overall width is the key to his potential for the title.

yeah its a pitty i much prefer dexter's physique to everyone else on the olympia stage, classic lines and no real flaws, but he will never win the O 3rd if the best he can hope for

Based on classic, regular judging standards Dexter wins the O this yr, the 2001 model of Jay would beat his present physique based on classic, physique judging standards. However, based on actual OLYMPIA standards ya gotta be massive freaky and wide,etc
