« on: November 13, 2009, 09:35:16 PM »
I'm looking for a new gym ...

this gym I'm at right now charges $6 per week closing down at the end of november. I need a new gym and I need an opinion. other places i'm looking at charge between 10 - 30 per week.

Depends primarily on what the gym has to offer and their hours.  I pay $40 a month currently.  But I would pay a little more for a gym with a indoor running track if there was one nearby.

Just go visit each one.  Have them give you a free guest pass and go over prices.  Then choose the best one that is the right price.

Well it really depends on what YOU need and a gym and what YOU can afford.  But historicall for me I have never paid over $40.  Sometimes if it's too high you are just paying for frills and crap that you don't even use.

For all the jokes about Planet Fatness Fitness, they only charge $10/month.  I realize that they don't have what IFBB pros need as far as equipment is concerned, but they are more than adequately stocked for regular folks.

I'd say anything under 400 is ... I guess reasonable  :-\

anything over 4 is ridiculous.

This obviously depends on how good the gym is, location and how busy the gym gets at the times that you work out.

I'd rather pay a bit more and not wait for every bench or machine to become available...

Or....since thanksgiving is right around the corner......go to your local grocery store, grab 2 of the biggest turkeys you can find, double bag with plastic for each turkey and do curls. ;D
