After reviewing every side to nearly every argument on religion or lack thereof, I have come to this conclusion: we don't know jack about where we came from or what separates us (if there is indeed a separation) from the animal kingdom.

Christians or any other religious sect: You fail to realize that your religion is no different than that of any other time or people.  How is it any different from any other widely accepted faith in both past and present.  You (Not just Christians) are like the annoying couple who won't accept that their relationship is no different than anyone else's and that they will go through the same trials and tribulations as the rest of us.  Usually, you're either too married to your faith or you're too loose with your convictions.

Athiests: You are making a judgment based on insufficient information.  The type of person who believes what he sees should learn to read between the lines and pretty much every athiest I've ever met fails to do so.  It's part of what makes you an athiest.

The facts are that we as a species have far too little information to even make an educated guess.  There are the things we know we don't know and there are the things we don't know that we don't know regarding the things we either think we know or we know we don't.  More simply put, nobody knows.  Faith is the only thing that keeps a person's beliefs on the subject intact, even athiests.
They do.
