Merrimen says Fisher ordered hit on him
« on: December 10, 2007, 05:06:15 PM »
With a crack back block? Which is a legal block. This in the same game LT stood up in disgust and walked away from rivers when he sat down next to him on the bench.

Is Merrimen making things up , or did a member of the NFL's competition committee (Fischer) order a hit on Merrimen?

Did Merrimen drop his gaurd, or did Jeff call for him to be hurt?

They need to outlaw that crap. Denver is the worst at those "legal" blocks. It should go the way of the horsecollar.

The crackback block should not be legal.

Denver's guys are taught to chop block, which is different.  I'm not a fan of it either, but I've never understood why more teams do not use it.

It was a legal block and the play was going his way.  I don't see any issue here.

it wasn't a crack back..the tight end was in motion and merriman got flattened...plain and simple. 'Lights Out'' got his turned off...
