Post-injection worries?
« on: December 22, 2007, 09:47:13 PM »
Should one be worried if they inject in the delt, and once the needle comes out, blood follows and there's a lump under the skin afterward? This person aspirated and saw no blood, but a full 12 hours later, there's still a pellet sized lump under the skin...

Did the inject all of it while it was completely in muslce or did they start withdrawing while they were still injecting, that sounds weird that their is a lump on the surface.

I don't sound like a big deal.  It will go away in a few days. Don't stress over it.

They said it was all the way in, so hopefully it's nothing crystalized

Skin red, itches, skin irritated at all??

If not, should be ok, but if anything looks out of the ordinary like I stated, go to the doc. Last thing you want is an infection to do its magic.

You might have just passed thru a vein while inserting. There has been tons of posts on infections, do a search if you are that worried.

Just a bad shot sounds like man. If it swells and looks like you grew a new delt, go to the doc.

Everytime I shoot my delt the one I shot looks bigger then the other for a couple days. It will feel harder, most of the time sore for a day or two and sometimes it will get alittle red. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start running a fever, it stays sore for more then 3 days or if it get really red (hot to the touch) and so sore you don't want to touch it.
