Who's healthier?
« on: January 07, 2008, 02:20:19 PM »
The heavily drugged up professional bodybuilders or those who have no personal investment in bodybuilding, or any fitness in general, as a lifestyle, yet rake in millions through the corporate business of professional bodybuilding?

If they don't even work out themselves, why are they interested in making money off the people who do, with such intense passion? Why are they so rich and powerful but yet make their athletes sign constricting contracts and give back only enough wealth so that they can afford their "groceries"? What the hell gets these people in this business?

All bullshit.

While drugs and vanity drive one person, money might drive another. But I know one thing, depending on geneitcs, I'd be leaning towards the millionair who can afford to get the best health care when and if they have problems. Sometimes being a workaholic keeps them alive.

Ah, you are right. There seems to be two types of pro BBers. The ones who take all the drugs because they are insecure and psychologically dependent on being big and those that sincerely enjoy it, such as Markus Ruhl.

I guess when it's a business where loads of hopeless saps will be willing to sell their soul to big business in return for praise for their precious physiques, it's all too easy to be tempted towards greed. Fault on both sides!

1. Healthy? That isn't relevant to what you want to do in your life. Your body will do everything in it's power to back you up no matter your choices. The important thing is to not be stressed out. Relaxed and focused. So it could be either way.

2. Money.

"A wise man, recognizing that the world is but an illusion, does not act as if it is real, so he escapes the suffering."
-The Buddha

It just seems like our imagined seriousness of life, these self-delusions we create and suspend our existence upon, will destroy us in the end. I can only do my part, by setting myself free and helping others do the same. It's much better over here, y'know. It's a magical place, this world. It's a shame so many live and die without following a clue of it's being.

I'm battling this right now....while I'm raking in "millions" I'm trying to justify my reasoning for putting out the money to compete, my sponser is only paying my way for the out of state show, I have to do another before that one.....and it isn't going to be cheap. Even if I win (not saying I will) both shows, I still take a loss.........I just don't know if it's worth it.

If you do compete again, best of luck to you. If it's a good business move, try to enjoy it for what it is: a lifelong passion of yours, not as a business move... or both.  :)

This is comedic gold.
Thank you.

By taking a loss, do you mean financially, your placing, or both?
