Basically, not all men go to complete stop of sperm production.
It explains the reasons found.

My endocrinologist freaked when I told him I was using TE for male contraceptive.
He had me do several sperm test for count and motility.
Even though I was way over the 200mg/ week TE that worked inthe World Health Organisation male contraceptive study, I was very low count, but not low enough to trust for contraception.

Freakfest mentioned he had a zero level once. I don't know if he meant true zero.

Anyway there are biologic nuances taht make AAS affect us and our recovery to it differently.

This summary is much more simple for those w/ limited knowledge of the terminology
http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/81/3/896

Oligozoospermia is a defined low level of sperm.
Azoospermia is the absence of sperm.

THis would be better  in LInks and studies.

Good article, Trab.

I think it's pretty clear that genetics are the key variable here.

There is no cut and dry method using exogenous testosterone as a means of contraceptive.

Testosterone induces azoospermia in only 40%-70% of men?

That's hardly reliable and I'm not going to go bareback hoping I'm not in that unlucky 30%-60% group.

Eventually, I think they will be able to narrow down the variable independant of genetic structure to determine which men can use testosterone as contraceptive and which guys are screwed.

It also gave a notion of what guys recover'd easier too based on incomplete superssion.
Yeah, it wont work for me.

Race came to play also...
Interesting stuff.

I only read the summary, didn't DL the PDF.

Didn't they only test caucasian males?

If I'm not mistaken, its more of the Old "why Asian men are screwed" thesis.... (Eddie Murphy's joke?)
Not only flat ass & not berry well hung....  they dont recover as well; but completely suppress to zero on a higher % of test subjects.

Funny, they strike me as recovering from Dbol only cycles well. Also respond well to them at low dose.
BUt, the stuff is fresh out of the factory there.

But THere is also a LOT of genetic difference even in Thailand. Several ethnic groups that have kind of kept to self.

Yeah, I read this a few years ago. It's not reliable, which is why they have looked at adding a progestin to the testosterone IIRC.
