Coinciding with Bush's arrival, the administration officially notified Congress it will offer Saudi Arabia sophisticated Joint Direct Attack Munitions -- or "smart bomb" -- technology and related equipment. The deal envisions the transfer of 900 of the precision-guided bomb kits, worth $123 million, that would give Saudi forces highly accurate targeting abilities.

I just think it's frightening and somewhat amusing that there isnt more Americans angry that the US is thinking about attacking Iran, while it sells smart bombs to Saudi Arabi, who happens to be friends with Iran, who dislikes America and Isreal. I imagine Saudi's don't really care for Isreal either.

Good point.  Like most countries the people are allowed to see what the govt allows them to see.   However with the internet govts arent getting away with as much corruption or secrecy because we are now global with boards like this one and blogs and such.

1) alaska is our stash for when we REALLY need it.  Right after we skip the lube and assfvck canada for hers

2) Getting that oil out is expensive, dangerous, and time consuming.  Iraqi oil is easier.  And, if we don't take iraq's oil, our competitors will.  So while we're struggling to get it out of the frozen earth in alaska, they're just pumping it right into their boats, to help china grow as fast as they're capable of, but are currently being starved from doing so.

A much better long term fix would be to aggressively development renewable energy sources.

Too bad the Republicans in the Senate gutted all the tax credits for these very things in the last energy bill
