Hard to say.  Laura had an amazing run in the late 80s and 90s, competing in something like 12 consecutive Ms. Olympias.  While she never won, I think she always placed in the Top 5, which is pretty impressive.  She was Lenda's biggest competition in many of them, as well as Kim's in some of them. 

It's hard to find competition photos of these women, as it wasn't like everyone had their digital cameras with them!

Lend had genetics, more than once other woman were better conditioned and were just as big but she won.
Her bone structure and muscle shape was flawless!

Kim took things to the next level for woman, her articles on training where brilliant I actually do my SLDL the Kim C way 

Laura had a nice world class build, but I often found her whiney in her articles.
I think she got shafted more than once at the Miss O with her placings.
Still I was shocked when I heard she and her ex got a divorce they seemed inseparable.

Yeah what else is really wild about Kim C is she burst on to the scene and wins 4 Ms Olympia titles and she comes from the center of the Midwest.  I mean there are really not even any large cities around from her home town!  She came from the middle of the corn Fields, alright Springfield, IL is not too far. But man you can bet that place, where they have a bit of a southern accent even, would have to think DAMN that is strange.

To come from that and do such what is generally considered crazy stuff for a woman is very cool.  I really wonder how she got inspired to BB?  That would be interesting to know.

Do you mean why do I think it unusual that she got into BB as a women from the middle of nowhere USA and went so far with it?

Well those areas of the US are more like huge farm lands the towns are fairly small and not really into any fringe type trends or ways of life.  These areas are way behind the times usually.  Secondly there had to be about 0 FBB for her in her local area to model herself after and motivate her.  I just find it fascinating a girl from the middle of Illinois would aspire to become Ms Olympia.  If you knew the middle of Illinois (as I do cause I live in the state) and know what it is like in central Illinois you would understand it is about as far from what BB is typified as as you can get.  Knowing the demographics of the area it just blows me away that Kim would become Ms Olympia.

Now tell me Ms O came from LA or Vegas or even NYC and I would not bat an eye but Mattoon Illinois! Now that makes me think how she ended up there?

I think its very cool and I would enjoy hearing how Kim got into it and what it was like for her.

The reason I think its cool that she did her own thing is she had the courage to stand out and be different.  What made it especially cool is she did it from an area as described above.  Where that kind of lifestyle was very uncommon, if even ever seen before by many.
