i don't know what pictures you clowns are looking at but Bob is a far superior bodybuilder to Rusty in every way, height, width, sheer size, condition, completeness, vascularity, you name it, i'll gaurantee you that when they stood onstage Bob absolutely dwarfed Rusty.

You guys make it sound like shape owns everything in bodybuilding.  Put Rusty and Bob side by side in a rear lat spread and you would see Bob's dominance.  It's apples and oranges I guess.

I should also remind you that Rusty came EIGHTH, not SECOND.  Before you go on about how much of a travesty it was for Bob to beat Rusty, keep in mind these bodybuilders also beat him:

Rusty is aesthetic, no question about that.  He is like an updated bigger and better version of Frank Zane and probably the best pro physique from my vantage point at 5'9 and 1/2 and 230.  But if you are going to be upset that Bob beat Rusty, what about the other six who did too?

in the eyes of anyone who knows the sport, it matters nothing.  and youll notice they no longer use that title when announcing bob.  It brings back the memory of that fake staged show.

I think Bob won pretty fairly, from looking at the pics at least. Rusty could have been drier and leaner. Probably needs to work with a diuretic expert if he wants to do well at the coming show.

Rusty is a great 'builder, a great presence in the sport, & a throwback to an earlier era when aesthetics & posing trumped thickness & size.  Unless he gets in a time machine & goes back to that earlier era, his stage appearances will mainly exist to bring attention to what he emphasizes as a bodybuilder (imitations of "classic" posers like Mentzer, Corney, etc.).  He will remain uncrowned as Masters Mr. Olympia because that contest doesn't exist anymore; the last one was held in Charlotte in 2003, & it will not be continued.  There is a Masters Pro show at the Atlantic City Grand Prix this year if he wants to compete against peers, but it will mean paying for a trip across the country (he lives in Arizona).  It's a lot cheaper to get to LA for the Ironman Pro.

Good observation...they only use it at every show, every webcast, every announcement, my column in Flex, every pres release, and every introduction....but other than that...you're right....it's never used.

it's doesn't look as dramatic as a dwarfing, but yeah i think you're right, especially from the back.

It wasn't a "real" contest? Just what were we competing in then? It hasent been put on again for the simple reason that it wasnt profitable to the promoter...ANY promoter could put it on. From what I understand, the guys that promote the AC Pro are going to bring back the Masters O...

It was created for me to win? LOL...thats a good one. Especially given the fact that they had no guarantee I would even enter the show, who else would enter (as it was open to anyone over 40, or what condition anyone would show up in on game day.

Note, few contests have competitors that are 7 spots away from each other, compare....

are you gonna do it if they bring it back ?

If you were there you would understand, me and two of my friends were there and couldn't believe it!!! All 3 of us were there for a friend who was in the show (he didn't place)  and we ALL had Rusty in 1st.  These shows are RIGGED RIGGED RIGGED.  By the way, gay porn means you have to be with a same sex partner.   I've spoken to Rusty and learned he refused to be photographed with other men.  He was a model and learned there was $$ to be made by selling his calendars to men, women evidentally don't buy as much as men.  He made great money on it and quit.  But we all know the getbig rumor mill is alive and well.  I see him in the gym once in a while and I WISH HIM GREAT LUCK in his next show because he looks great!!
