How many 80's pros would place at the current Olympia?

Haney would likely place behind Melvin Anthony (top 6 maybe)....

Labrada and Gaspari would be gifted the top 10.

Any thoughts on who (if anybody) would crack the current top 10?

Haney would still be a top guy. He was clearly ahead of the pack for years and would have gotten better over the years as new stuff came into being.
Lots of great physiques from that era.Bob Paris was incredible overall

I would say Rich Gaspari is at a higher level than a pro such as Mark Dugdale for instance.  And Mark Dugdale is basically guaranteed to be Olympia class every year.  Not necessarily the best in the lineup, but always a participant, and as I said, I would put Rich ahead of him.

I think I might actually start updating my site again.  Looking through it I actually think it's worth putting some time into.

They all have small waists, separation, no synthol and no Muscletech contracts. They wouldn't place well if they even qualified.

Let it be known....wether or not any of the guys from the 80's placed or not is not the same as saying they are better or worse than the current lineup. The judging has changed drasticaly over the years and, not for the better.

Very true I would place Gaspari ahead of Dugdale, but still that only leaves him around 13th/14th place.

If a physique like Melvin Anthony or Phil Heath can place very high, then they could still place high.

Time periods aside, can those physiques still stand up, that is my question.

With bigger delts I can see Christian placing very high in a modern contest.

I can also see him placing well today with very slight improvements.

Toney Freeman is an inch taller and does very well at 285.  I think it stands to reason that Mike Christian at 275 would be world class.  He competed at around 245 I believe.  I don't that automatically means he needed 30 more pounds of muscle though.  Maybe just a slightly updated gear regimen would do the trick.

they all took the same mega doses that they use now,,, just without the slin, hgh and igf1... all u can do is add 20lb of bloat onto them

not as many as we would like...i think haney would fare pretty well, but top 6 at best, i don't think he would beat
