If you were here 2 years ago, you would have seen me ranting about 911, trying to change the world.
Then I realized you can't change the world. All you can do it try to live a happy live in the circumstances around you.
These bigger things happen for hundreds of reasons we'll never understand. We see filtered byproducts on the news daily, and that's what we argue about. You claim I'm a hypocrite... I'd say I'm a former optimist of change who became a pessimist. I used to get all excited... "we need to demand a second 911 investigation"... but in reality, 67% of the nation believes it was an inside job, and nothing changes. Nothing. Maybe a few repubs vote dem because of it, but nothing changes.
I'm a jaded pessimist now. A realist.
You got all excited about something that by many is considered nothing but fairy tales.
I'm not saying everyone believe it to be so, but a lot, including myself, do.
If you would've picked something... shall we say, less suspect (for lack of better word) my guess is that you would've had better success.
Eg,
human rights (eg China, Iran, US Army, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Russia...)
Anti-war
Pro-life
Pro-choice
pro-environment
et al...
There are a lot of issues to get involved with, lots of fights to fight.
Issues that are actually acknowledged as legit, even by their opponents.
Eg, even Exxon will admit there is a environmental movement.
