I know, I know, it's just a pro/am

ORLANDO, Fla. -- John Daly has missed his pro-am time at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and faces disqualification from the tournament.

His curious absence comes one day after he was fired by his swing coach.

Daly lost his PGA TOUR card two years ago and was invited to Bay Hill on a sponsor’s exemption. Under PGA Tour regulations, anyone who misses the pro-am without a valid reason cannot play in the tournament.

A call to Daly’s agent was not immediately returned Wednesday.

Butch Harmon, one of golf’s most renowned teachers, said Tuesday night he was done working with Daly because of his behavior last week at the PODS Championship. Daly used Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden as a caddie and spent Saturday drinking at a corporate tent on the course.

when ya make the big bucks early,I guess it's just too easy to think everyone else is full of shit when they try to tell ya you have a problem.....

it's too bad because John really seems like a down to earth guy too.
