Easy...the order in which they came out...

1) Raiders of the Lost Ark

2) Temple of Doom

3) Last Crusade

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull looks to be a redemption from Last Crusade. Last Crusade just didn't really do it for me.  :-\

Temple of Doom was really damn good, but Raiders gets the edge.  8)

Oh, and just a little tidbit...did you know that the story of Temple of Doom actually takes place before the story of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Don't believe me? Check out the opening scenes and compare the year from Raiders to Temple.  ;)

It doesn't matter which order to watch them in because neither of the three films intertwine with each other.

And if you're referring to Indiana Jones as a teenager through the series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, I can't comment. I've never seen them.

I agree with your #1 pick, but I enjoyed Last Crusade better than Temple.
Temple was entertaining, but a lil over the top with the ripping out hearts and some of the "amazing" shit the kid did.
On the plus side, Kate Capshaw was annoying, but hot.

I don’t know what to expect from the latest installment, but with the title alone I’m already a bit disappointed.
However, I'm sure they will do the franchise justice.

This is only speculation, but I was in Catholic grade school at the time Crusade came out. Perhaps there was some kind of connection between that and the religious artifact theme/history of the film.
Again, I don’t know for sure, but it could explain at least one reason.

I like all three of them equally - it's very hard to choose which one is the best.

They are all great to be sure.

But if I had to rank them, I'd go

Raiders (The King)
Last Crusade (Connery and River Pheonix)
Temple of Doom (The story is not as good, but the action makes up for it. Opening scene is a classic. Club Obi-Wan is hilarious)

I concur. Each has its own distinct flavor. Temple of doom and crusade had a lot more humor. If pressed if would say TOD because it went into cults/sacrifice/supernatural etc. I remember being awed and tense throughout the latter part ( the rail chase)of the movie when I saw it on screen

Maybe that's what is lacking for me.
I never saw TOD in a theater environment.

I can see how that element would add to the enjoyment of the movie - at least it's effects.

I would think where one saw Temple of Doom wouldn't matter whether the film was good or not (I take it back. Danielson knows my last theater experience for Rob Zombie's Halloween was what made the movie bad).

Anyway, you see what I'm trying to get across. Temple of Doom was great!

I know exactly what you mean about the theater. When I saw American pie 3 or American Wedding I mean, there were little punks disrupting the whole movie. Great movie, much better than part 2 imo, but those fkn punks made it to hard to watch. >:(

It's almost like a hit or miss with the theater. When I saw American Pie 2 in the theater, the crowd was great. We all fed off of each other with laughter. But for Halloween, BAD crowd!  >:(

Black adolescents...OOPS! Let me be politically correct - African-Americans...is what made the movie bad, at least that's what I thought, till I bought it on DVD and watched it in the comfort of my own home. They had ruined the viewing experience of a movie I had been waiting for for months!  >:(

I still sound bitter, don't I?  :D

Now I just go the way of waiting for the movie to come to DVD. For example, I've been wanting to see I Am Legend, but refused to go to the theater. Now I can see it tomorrow.  :)

This is one of the biggest reasons that, for the most part, I seldom go to theaters.
Nice to do every now and then, and on certain days at certain times when certain crowds are/aren't there.
Other than that, I'm set up with cable & DVD's. I'm not gonna pay for every movie twice.
