Now I know Cipro isn't an AAS (but I don't know where else to put this thread). Anyway, I've been on it for the past ten days & it's seriously fucking me up. I'm getting some serious sides:
-severe joint pain (couldn't work out for six days but it's a little better now)
-minor hallucinations
-weird dreams
-lightheadedness
-mood swings
Anyone else have any experience with this?
You need to get ahold of your doctor ASAP. Ciprofloxacin is a flouroquinalone antibiotic. These antibiotics are metabolized by the liver, which can result in production of byproducts that have hallucinogenic properties. Baytril is probably the best known of the first and second generation flouroquinalones with this problem. It was originally developed for humans, but that was stopped when it was realized that people have hallucinations on it. As a result it ended up in the veterinary market. I swear I've seen cats, a dog, and two birds that were tripping after getting oral Baytril. The thing is Baytril is metabolized to ciprofloxacin by the liver. I worked with a veterinarian who knew this, and was on cipro for a bladder infection. She forgot her antibiotics, so took a single baytril tablet. She had to leave work because she was all fucked up.
Also, Cipro has been associated with achilles tendon ruptures and with cartilagenous degeneration in juvenile animals. So if you are feeling joint pain tell your doctor.
