exercising your testicles
« on: June 10, 2008, 08:07:11 PM »
After the post-cycle recovery, is it always that testosterone and the other elements (lh) are permanently lowered, or could one's testicles strengthen themselves from "use" in the same manner that muscles repair themselves past previous levels from damage? (assuming proper recovery) especially if particular elements are implemented (excellent nutrition, etc.).

And is the timing of PCT immediately after a cycle vs no PCT important for full recovery, or just for retaining muscle and recovering quicker?

theres no reason after a cycle you shouldnt be able to get your test production up to the levels it was before you ever started your cycle.  Now on the other hand if you have stayed on for several years, I believe it would be possible for you to permanently lower your test production.

The timing of PCT has to due with you recovering faster, thus retaining more muscle.  If you did no PCT after a cycle you could still fully recover, although it would take you longer and you would lose more of your gains.

I'm  beginning to think that this may not be due to long term use but just due to age factors.  As we get older our test productions lower and if you are on for several years, especially if you are in your late 20's-30's your test production starts dropping off.  Some faster than others obviously, but I really question long term effects and what's really going on.

But  that's just speculation, I have no scientific data to back that up :)

In the early '90s, like an idiot, I did a lot of long cycles with no PCT.  I always recovered, but it took a while.

When my wife and I went to a fertility doctor a few years ago to get tested, I had no issues.  My sperm count was actually very high, although my test levels were in the lower half of the normal range.  I really think my test levels had just dropped naturally by age 32, as I had been off hormones for years at that point.

However, maybe it's my imagination, but I've always felt like my balls were never quite as large as before I started juicing.  I attribute that to not doing proper PCT.

Yes I agree.  I remember someone on here asked bob chick about how dead his test levels are after years of bodybuilding and he replied with something along the lines of no more dead than any other 40 year old mans are.

I do think that a 30 year old man who has been on for several years will have a lower natural test production when he comes off than a 30 year old man who has never used before however.

.......and if you use HCG you should not have any problems with your testicles and recovery will come much faster.

Well that's the thing, the average is such a large scale 300-1000ngl and if you are anywhere in that range you are supposed to be normal.  But you could take two guys who've never done AAS and one could test in the 800 range while the other in the 400 range and they'd still be well within "normal" testing ranges.  Obviously the guy in the 800 range is probably feeling a lot better, has better muscle tone, less fat etc.  I just don't think there's enough proof to say that long term use really effects our natural production as much as people think it does.  I do think there's some effect, but how much?  It justs really disappointing that the US has such strict bullshit laws about AAS use, we might be able to do some long term testing on subjects if it didn't.

First of all to all the "newbies" do PCT!

But you can recover without it, but it will take longer and you will loose some muscle mass that you got from the cycle, but you will loose less or not at all if you do the proper PCT.

I know a few guys who used tons of test, deca, dianabol, winstrol and anadrol "back in the day" they are still big and their kids are normal (relatively lol). My point is that the human body is very able to deal with different circumstances. If you eat less carbs the energy comes from fats, if you take aas and don't do PCT sooner or later the body will start to produce it's own testosterone.
