iPhone

Do you have an 'old' one?  Will you buy the new one?  I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one as a gift (birthday coming up), but I'm annoyed at the price of the calling plans and I hate AT&T. $70 is the bare minimum and that's before taxes and fees.  To get the same minutes I have with TMobile I'll have to spend $90-$100 per month. Grrr!  I like being cool as much as the next guy, but I don't think I'd use a smartphone enough to justify the cost of being cool.  :-\

Give it another year or so and the technology will be obviosuly cheaper with Iphone.

I use ATT cingular wireless and I spend about $60 a month with 1000 anytime minutes and email capability. Nothing major. But I might have to upgrade for the sake of my business and I'm not looking forward to spending upwards to $100 a month.

ugh.

Several of my buds have iPhones; I’ve used it and I like it well enough.  The cost of the phone doesn’t bother me at all, but being stuck with AT&T and their unattractive calling plans is holding me back.  I’ll keep using my current ‘dumb’ phone until it stops working; when that happens I’ll move to an iPhone; that has been my history with cell phones.  I never upgrade my phone just to get something better.  I do it when the phone I’m using gives up the ghost.  Btw, my contract ended a few months ago so that is not an issue.

Other “phones out there with more functions” don’t interest me because I want to sync my phone with my Mac’s address book/email database as well as my music and video library.  No other phone out there is going to be as Mac friendly.  So, yeah, an iPhone is in my future...

I am currently on my 5th cell phone.  How many cell phones have you had?

BayGBM, is the increased vibration speed and intensity an attractive feature to you?

Huh?  Increased compared to what?  Are you trying to be funny?  You'll have to try harder.  :-\

One thing I'm not keen on about the iPhone is its candy bar form factor.  My current (and last) phone is a clamshell/flip form factor and that has works great for me.  I slip it in my front or back pocket and I can sit on it without worrying about damaging it.  I can drop it on floor and never think about breaking it. I know that will not be true of the iPhone which is another reason I'm not in a rush to get one.  Alas, I know my current phone won't last forever.  :(

Serious question. Compared to the old iPhone.

I don't have an old iPhone so whether the vibration on the new is more, less, or unchanged is irrelevant to me.
