Big Sean Allen Comments - Next Stop NPC USAs in Vegas
« on: June 23, 2008, 06:03:07 PM »
Sean Allen said he had no competition in the Jr. Nationals when Romano and Palumbo interviewed him.
Some of his quotes:

"This freight train is on a roll"

"That heavyweight guy looked like a middleweight guy next to me."

"Every pose it was lights out."

"As soon as Big Sean walked in the building it was lights out."

"I was worried about politics bringing me down not this guy."  about being compared to Mike Liberatore and doubting whether he'd win the overall show.

"He ran into a beast from the east and guess what it was lights out." - his comments about Trey Brewer.

"I'm going to come in 5lbs heavier and even drier." - for the USAs

Sean says his comments are not intended to disrespect any other competitors but when he is on he's on. The dude is a monster at 280lbs on stage and no denying he is a big dude. Can he win the overall at the NPC USAs and make it three in a row?

Sean reads the board as he busted my chops the morning for questioning whether he could take the overall, mind you this was on Friday night when I wrote it.  8)

Sean Allen on the move to dominate in Vegas... or will he? Congrats on Sean on his victory.

But I have a question... isnt this the same Sean Allen that had some interesting words at the 2000 or 2001 Olympia Press Conference? I don't recall what he said or what happened?

Yes it is.  He was younger and made some mistakes like all of us have.  Hes a little older and wiser....he tends to be VERY confident, i dont think he meant to disrespect people like its being suggested.  Lets be honest.  Libartore DID look like a middleweight next to him (he probably heard someone say that and then repeated it).  Sometimes an attitude and personality like that adds interest and diversity to the sport.  Thats one reason i love Ben White.  Always something interesting and controversial to say.  Seriously, who wants to hear the same old..."i respect everyone, theyr all great bodybuilders" etc....if WWE did that crap there would BE no WWE.  Sports need bad guys and people to stir the pot...embrace it...

I agree with you. It's what made the Olympia Press Conference interesting this year. QT calling out Gustavo. The only thing is to back up the chatter. Sean has done that this year, QT failed to do so last year. Ben White failed to do so in his debut. The only recent competitor who has managed to make a career over being a mediocre bodybuilder and running his mouth was King Kamali.

Holy shit Ron, that's the first time I've ever seen you go after a guy to try and fuck up his placings..  Sure, it's tongue-in-cheek and sure you do it in the cute way that only you know how, but damn Ron, you must not like Sean Allen.

Ron makes us message board trolls look like amateurs..

It would be intersting to see Sean up against the over-all winner of the Jr USA's, Cedric McMillian.

True.  So what if they dont back it up.  Is it bad to have confidence and believe you can win?  Why chastise these guys for coming out and SAYING it.  If they lose, oh well...try again.  I think in another year Sean beats QT with ease.  Hes got Dexters structure on a 6'5 frame...just gotta fill it out more....not the easiest thing to hold 300lbs lean haha, but imagine if he does....

Thats the other side of the road.  The perfect GOOD GUY personality.  Extremely outgoing, always something interesting to say, very honest...but very modest.  Very likable and the guy you want to root for.  Amazing structure....this would be a great battle...too bad hes not doin the USA

I don't see anything wrong with having confidence and voicing if that's what you want to be known for. If you don't back up your own hype you can quickly become a joke to many people but it does provide for some entertainment for the fans. Look at Ben White - what have you heard from him since the New York show?  I like the smack talk and look at the threads on getbig anytime mentions King. You gain fans and loose fans by it but I'd rather see the smack over some boring ass pro who says nothing nor does nothing on stage.

Hes a freakin beast. Whats wrong with him saying it?? Being confident and being able to back it up isnt so bad of a thing. Bodybuilding can totally use a personality, thats whats missing.

What would you rather see. A boring ass Dexter Jackson interview where he says the same thing that he's said for the past five years, and brings the same physique to every show that he's had for this entire decade.

Or someone with some personality and is unlike any bodybuilder going today. 6'3, 280lbs, asthetic, with shape, symmetry, and size. Like Sean Allen????

Id pick Sean Allen 10 out of 10 times.

Just my $0.02

Sean still talking shit.

Suddenly, a lot of people here are going to take pleasure in seeing him take 7th at the USAs.

Referring to himself in the third person... ugh.
