ON 2:1:1 Recovery
« on: January 17, 2008, 09:15:34 PM »
Not sure what recovery drink you all are using, but wanted to give you guys the details on ONs 2:1:1 Recovery Drink.

Has anyone tried it yet???

Basically, The science is based on combining, proteins, carbs and BCAA,  each in 2:1:1 ratios to help you rapidly Replenish, Repair, Rebuild and Recover!

Its a pretty neatly engineered product.

35 grams of Fast, Intermediate, and Slow Protein
16 grams of BCAAs and 23 total grams of Essential Amino Acids
70 grams of Rapidly Digesting Carbohydrates (36 g Sugar) from:
Glucose Polymers

The Ratios are as follows:
2:1:1 Carbohydrate Ratio
2 X Glucose Polymers + Waxy Maize Starch, 1 X Sucrose, 1 X Fructose

2:1:1 Protein Ratio
2 X Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate (Fast)
1 X Micellar Casein (Slow)
1 X Egg Albumen (Intermediate)

2:1:1 BCAA Ratio
2 X Leucine
1 X Isoleucine
1 X Valine

The flavors are Vanilla, Chocolate, Raspberry and Mango of flavors. My favorite is the Mucho Mango!!

It's cheaper to buy the ingredients separately, because $54.99 for 15 servings is pretty pricey, esp. for those who work out more than 3x/week.Over 3.5 dollars for a PWO shake is silly.Grape juice, creatine(if wanted) and bulk BCAA powder will do the trick also.
We're not all sponsored, you know.

Peace

Tried it, way too expensive with little results.  Didn't notice any difference in taking that over waxy + protein immediately PWO.

Hi Emmortal,
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry to hear that. We have gotten great feedback on 2:1:1 and ON Gyclomaize.
Well, the way the economy is, we all need to watch our budget and stick with what works best for us.
This lifestyle can get expensive!
