Just because you predicted the outcome does not make the fights any less good. I mean unless you are on the UFC's payroll how can you not see that the Affliction card from top to bottom was better then anything the UFC has put on for a long time now. Don't get me wrong there have been soem real good individual matches they have put on in the past year (Henderson/Rampage, Liddell/Silva, Henderson/A Silva, etc...) but as total card Affliction was better.

I understand this was a fight night card and as such it is not meant to have the same thunder as PPV but this was really an attampt by Dana to compete with Afflictions card

Bluto is an adamant TUF fanboy. He can't stand seeing the UFC fall back to #2. Fact of the matter is that more than one or two Getbiggers said that Fight Night card looked better on paper and like usual, it turned out to be horseshit.

There hasn't been one entire UFC card as good as the Affliction card in a long time. Like you said, there were some good fights here and there, but for the most part the cards have sucked. That's what happens when you have an organization protecting fighters and recycling the same matches over and over.

Affliction card was average at best.

Full of unexciting, predictable fights with mostly UFC leftovers.

Either way lads, the UFC was free, and you gotta approach it as such. Affliction had a killer card in contrast to the UFC's. I agree that it is hard to fork over loot when you can call a huge majority of Affliction's winners, but on the other side that Irvin display was just aweful. I was hoping he would have at least lasted 2 rounds. Instead, he got fuckin peeled back in the first minute.  :-\

A lot like PRIDE, a couple monsters, the rest filler. Megadeth coulda beat the first few. I don't see many UFCers jumping ship either. All very Weiderish.

The UFC card blew, and I'm a UFC fan.  I would have hated if I'd have had to buy it on PPV, but I would have.  The affliction card was pretty damn good.  Say what you want about Arlovski, Barnett and Rizzo being washed up UFC guys, but it was a damn good card.

If they would have charged for that UFC card, then a lot of the "free" fight people would have bought the Affliction event: instead. I knew the Affliction card was going to be great, but curse my parents for raising a cheap skate  ;D.

Agreed.  I dvr'd them both just because I'm a fan and wanted to see them both.  But I would have been sorely pissed at Dana if he had ever put together a PPV card like that.

Even though some of the recent cards have looked along the same line.
