The WORLD MAP has changed
« on: July 21, 2008, 11:28:33 AM »
Asked by Diane Sawyer whether the "the situation in Afghanistan in precarious and urgent," McCain responded: "I think it's serious. . . . It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border."

But as ABC's Rick Klein noted: "Iraq and Pakistan do not share a border. Afghanistan and Pakistan do."[/i]

he's been there 8 times and doesn't know their geography.  It's the terrorism capital of the world and he doesn't know the geography.

At the VERY least, it should lessen the impact from Obama misspeaking the 47 states he's visited as 57 when he was speaking out loud.

Either they both misspoke, or they're both clueless.  Which is it?

I don't know. I would think it's a little worse that an American raised in America who's running for the Presidency doesn't know how many states are in the very country he's trying to lead.  :-\

That being said, they both suck.

agree they both suck.

but... obama was doing the math in his head, counting the 3 states he hasn't visited, and then said 57, instead of 47.  If anyone had to bet their life savings if obama thinks there are 50 states or 60 (3 less than however many he visited) I think we'd all admit he probably doesn't believe there are 60 states.

Mccain's mistake isn't a big deal... but it is a little troubling in light of all the other verbal miscues he's had about the area in which he claims to bs the strongest, the military and natl defense.
