So what did you do for her ?

Inquiring minds would like to know  :D

If you are still taking suggestions :

Run a hot bubblebath for her ,help her undress , joining her in the bubbles would be nice  ;) , put on her favorite music , have her favorite dinner ready when she gets out , have the best dessert you can imagine ( Tiramisu is to die for ) , then allow her to decide what happens next , along with how and where  8)

Actually I put together three different unique vacation options for her, and made her choose one randomly. We are going to the Mexican Riviera next month! Maybe overkill, but what the hell...

Also got reservations tonight at a local upscale steakhouse.

What is tiramisu. I have to go google that stuff....

Dunno yet.  Something del mar? The travel agent is working on it...  I have a friend who has a daughter who lives there full time, so hopefully we have a tour guide.

Who's been there and can tell me whats fun to do?

It's also still hurricane season!  Good times!

I’ve been there several times, but I’m not much of a tourist. I’ll opt for the pool or beach rather than go off property. There are many things to do if you want to be a tourist. Some of the reasons I’d rather not is safety practices are generally not practiced and if you get hurt, medical care sucks, they want cash and your insurance isn’t going to cover you in Mexico. Secondly, I like to know I’m within close proximity to safe food, water and bathrooms all of which I do quite often!

Some things you may want to consider:
A day trip over to Cozumel to bum around and/or go snorkeling.
Bumming around Playa del Carmen for an afternoon or evening.
A day trip (tour) to the Mayan ruins (Tulum).  The one I went on (I was practically forced into it, but it was pretty cool) included zip-lining, rappelling, snorkeling in an underground river/cave/cenote, which was very cool along with time at the ruins and beach which was absolutely gorgeous and lunch.  I think that was around $100 bucks. (see video clip)
I’ve done the horseback riding thing along the beach – in the water, etc. and it all sounds great and wonderful, but I wouldn’t do it again.  Think about it, like a child, what’s the first thing the horse does the when it hits the warm water? Multiply that by about a dozen horses. :-X

Of course you could spend a day at one of the natural eco parks Tres Ríos, Xel-Ha or Xcaret. There's also Chichén Itzá which will be about a 14 hour day, but a lot of people say it's worth it.
