Well, apparently years ago Michael and his girlfriend at the time were in Gold's/Venice and when Michael wasn't around, Flex started hitting on his girl and Michael got mad and was after Flex to fight him, but Chris Cormier came in and held Michael back.

Who knows if it's true or not.

I don't lie .....(if i was id say i knocked Kenny out)
early 1990's went to Golds Venice, went to visit with Mike Matarazzo (who had just recently moved there) always wanted to visit "The Mecca",Mike introduced me to "The Crew" (Flex,Chris Cormier,Gary Strydom,Paul Dillett etc )
while i was in the "3rd room" at golds Flex was hitting on my girl at the time, quote "What are you doing with him?/meet me later").....This girl did not tell me this right away (which angered me even more)....by the time i saw Flex again (later that day at the Firehouse) i "flipped" yelling, swearing, spitting etc etc ,Chris and someones brother broke it up inside, went outside (Chris pulled me aside asked me "if i really wanted to do this/Flex was a black belt)
lot's more yelling ...no punches thrown,(lil bit of pushing/shoving)
not a big deal (Flex was a "snake" and was known for this type behaviour) at the time Flex = cocky arrogant
asshole (who honestly needed his ass kicked)
that's it...............(let me just add Chris was very cool and seemed like a great guy!)

If Flex didn't get into that car accident he would have beat Yates in 1993 granted if he was in shape

Considering your stance/defense of Yates over the years, I'm surprised to read that statement from ya.

props

...that in his Hardbody and Mass Construction videos, homeboy is cocky arrogant, and gregarious. Fast forward to the BFTO series and he's as quiet as a mouse.

If you really want to see a contrast in behavior, look at "Mass Construction" and compare the different scenarios.
Scenario 1 is where he rolls up with his friends blocking the street outside the gym. Nonchalantly gets out and people are pulling around him. Flex is acting hard for the camera, and once inside the act gets even worse. Continuing on with the gangster act, he was just about short of throwing weights around like Jay Moore and Dave Jacobs.
Scenario  2 shows him walking around with Madeline, and Flex is now the big teddy bear. Holding hands, very soft spoken and more relaxed. The thug is out, and sweetheart is in.

In a MuscleMag Int. "Star Profile" he talked about how, when he watches the videos today, he completely dislikes the way he acted. Mentioning how he wanted to be more of how he came across with Madeline in the second scenario.
