try some oatmeal with whey/casein about 45 mins prior to your workout. that always works nicely.

That depends on you. Some people can eat a huge meal & go tear the gym up & others have to wait a couple hours.

Say I'm training at 1100 I'll eat a decent sized breakfast at 830ish & let the food digest.

I'd recommend you experiment a little to see what works best for you.

My friend & I will go to Dim Sum, eat a ton of food, & then go to the gym on the way home. While I will wait three (sometimes four hours before training) after the meal.

I take a nap after Dim Sum, no way i'm training after that. ;)

I eat a medium sized meal about 2-3 hours before i go to the gym.

I usually eat a chicken breast, 2 cups brown rice and some veggies. i also eat a banana on the way to and from the gym.

Over the years i've noticed that the pre-workout meal needs to be high in carbs, but light enough not to bloat you and drag you down.

Sometimes he ride home is tough because of the Dim Sum coma. Sometimes I'm so dead I won't train that day.

I'll have a meal normally 2-3 hrs before the session - typically 50g protein, simialr carbs and light on fat.

30 mins before the workout i ll then down a 50 g protein shake with a tad of honey mixed in and repeat after the workout.  :)

That's very true!

I have suffered the Dim Sum coma several times. 3 weeks ago i took The Viet and her mother to DS, then we went by the local Asian Market, i found a nice comfy sofa by the Pharmacy and passed out for 45 minutes...

Wendy's Baked Potato. Buck Fifty - about 45 min before workout - good results.
