Remember back in 1996, Achim Albrecht left the IFBB to become a pro wrestler ("Brakus"). He wrestled briefly for WWE and bounced around the smaller developmental wrestling feds.
Paul Dillet tried his hand at it, wrestling for WCW, in its bush-league federations. But, he said the beatings were too much and call it quits.
Mat Duvall, after winning the 2003 Nationals, got a try-out with TNA. I don't recall if he ever made it on TV or not.
Plus, there have been some NPC amateurs who done the wrestling thing, the most successful to date, being the recent Muscle & Fitness cover guy, Dave Batista.
