Personal Trainer Certification: Which Program is Best

No offense but I don't know how you found any usefull information in that posting. Looked like a lot of arguing. Anyway, NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) is accepted by most gyms out there and is accredited as well. Meaning you can use it towards a college degree. I would hope that anyone looking at actually making a career out of doing personal training would get there degree in kinesiology. NASM is pretty hard though, you really have to know the material for the (timed) tests and proctor examination. NASM would be my choice.

Step one would be to obtain a nationally recognized certification. Agencies such as International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA), International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
