Pro Contests
« on: October 02, 2008, 12:13:34 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knows why they judge contests like the Olympia over 2 days rather than do the prejudging in the morning and the main contest ant night like they do with local NPC shows? It seems like it would be more fair to do it all on the same day. Everyone knows the day of the contest and if you're not in shape then too bad. I mean Jay being able to drop 12-15 pounds within 24 hours obviously makes a huge difference in his placing.

Exactly.  The Friday night show was poorly attended when it was just the women.  So, the men's pre-judging was moved to Friday night and combined with the women's finals.  This makes for a long event, with the men going on after 9 pm Friday.  I'd like to see the women moved to the Orleans showroom and the men's open combined with the 202.  And I agree, the pre-judging and finals should be in the same day.
