Hundreds of Americans had joined the US army to fight for their country, but they decided to flee to Canada rather than serve the war in Iraq which they saw as illegal.

Al Jazeera reports on one US soldier who will find out whether he will be allowed to stay in Canada or be forced back to the US and face a court marshall.
