chick has good genetics compared to us slobs but not compared to your colemans, jacksons, heaths.chick has high inserting vastus laterialis muscles but he built them to the max instead of just squatting and developing upper thighs that would have been too big.he concentrated on upper, outer pecs, side delts, outer triceps, lower lats and some other areas that made him stand out from less intelligent trainers.
I disagree...look at olympic lifters. they only squat and their quads never have the sweep that bodybuilders do... why else would a pro do 4 exercises for quads if 3 were redundant?
I don't have the energy to get in a long debate but look at Chick's quads at 15 or whatever he was at his first show. Exact same shape. He just got bigger overall.A weight lifter will have sweep from just squats if he has the genetics for it. Many of them have nice outer quad development.
